Kid Cudi and Method Man will be showing off their acting chops in a forthcoming episode of the CBS drama Scorpion.

HotNewHipHop points out Cudi made his big screen debut with this year's Need For Speed, and he will star in Scorpion as the inventor of "an algorithm that can generate 'mathematically' perfect pop songs."

Meth will play Lucky The King, a "hard core hip-hop manager with an intimidating, dismissive demeanor."

The official CBS page breaks down the show for novice viewers: "Scorpion, inspired by a true story, is a high-octane drama about eccentric genius Walter O'Brien and his team of brilliant misfits who comprise the last line of defense against complex, high-tech threats of the modern age."

Cudi spoke about his Need for Speed role with Inside Movies earlier this year.

"Well, I think personally this movie was just unique in a lot of ways, and it will continue to be as my career keeps going. This movie will always be something that stands out because of the action. We had a lot of hands-on stunts. It was something you never get a chance to do on a set. And so it's different. With music, I'm in the studio by myself most of the time, and I have my engineer with me and it's all my ideas, but with the movies, I'm taking a backseat to help create a bigger vision."

His character, Benny, was a weird dude.

"I'm actually way goofier in real life," KC said. "That's the thing, I wanted to find a balance. I wanted the audience to take this character seriously although my crew didn't. And there's a real moment of redemption in the movie where you can see everything I am, everything I do, really make sense."
