Billy Currington is pushing past 40, but the country star landed two more No. 1 hits this year, and he is hungry for more.

"Don't It" is the first offering from his untitled 2015 album.

"I'm excited to give fans a taste of my new album with 'Don't It,'" he said, according to The Boot. "This song was one of the first I cut, and the sound really guides the direction of the new project. Next spring, I'll hit the road with new music and look forward to playing it live!"

The tune, a new single, has a bit too much of a high school vibe for a man old enough to have multiple kids in college, but that formula has worked for him recently.

Here is a sample:

Baby don't say no so quick
This ain't about me trying to see how far that I can get
But I ain't gonna lie
I wouldn't mind just a little bit of you eye to eye, lips on lips

The 40-year-old has never had a No. 1 country album — he has come in No. 2 three times — but he has collected nine No. 1 hits since the release of his eponymous debut album in 2003.

The most recent ones were "We Are Tonight" this past summer and "Hey Girl" in early 2014.

"The people that I used to sing demos for that I always thought were great writers, I've always stayed connected to 'em and talk with them throughout the years," Currington told News OK this year. "Every year when it's time to record an album, I just call 'em up and they always send me great songs.

"Picking the songs, I think I've just been fortunate to pick the right ones, and to stay with the same label, same label head, all these years. We've kind of always seen eye to eye on what we thought was the single; we never had any arguments over that, so it's always been an easy process for me. I've been blessed."
