The 2015 Golden Globe nominations have been revealed. Because no Hollywood film would be complete without its soundtrack, Lorde, Lana Del Rey, John Legend, and Common are among the nominees for Best Original Song. The rest of the nominees in the musical categories are a mix of hit-makers and legends.

Del Rey is up for her song "Big Eyes" from the film of the same name. John Legend and Common are up for their song "Glory" from the Martin Luther King biopic Selma. Lorde is up for "Yellow Flicker Beat" off the soundtrack she curated for The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1. Patti Smith and Lenny Kaye are up for their song "Mercy Is" from the Biblical film Noah. Sia's song "Opportunity" is up for the award from the modern remake of the film Annie.

Nominees for Best Original Score in a Motion Picture are Alexandre Desplat for The Imitation Game, Johann Johannsson for The Theory of Everything, Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross for Gone Girl, Antonio Sanchez for Birdman, and Hans Zimmer for Interstellar.

Reznor is a two-time winner of Best Original Score, all for David Fincher Films. He won his first award in 2011 for The Social Network and his second in 2012 for Girl With the Dragon Tattoo.
