It's anniversaries galore during 2013-'14 for Outkast, the most renowned name to come out of the Atlanta hip-hop scene. It will be 20 years since the duo, consisting of Andre 3000 and Big Boi, released its debut Southernplayalisticadillacmuzik in 1994. September 29 marked 15 years since the pair dropped Aquemini (an excellent album Music Times listened to on Monday) , and September 23 was the tenth anniversary of Speakerboxxx/The Love Below. So how to celebrate?

Sleepy Brown, while discussing his own upcoming new album, suggested during an interview that 'Dre and Boi may be planning new music to celebrate the anniversary of its debut.

"The holdup? It's just scheduling, man," Brown said. "We just gotta get it all together; it's coming together now. Thank you for being patient, it's coming real soon."

The rapper has been featured on several Outkast tracks, including the "So Fresh, So Clean" remix, as well as having contributed production as part of the Organized Noize team. He's also currently touring with Big Boi.

Note of course that neither Andre 3000 nor Boi have even hinted at such ideas. The group last performed under the title "Outkast" during 2007's "International Playas Anthem (I Choose You)" on UGK's Underground Kingz. As suggested by XXL Magazine, the duo might simply perform a few reunion concerts in a similar style to those of Nas, who will celebrate the 20th anniversary of The Illmatic next year.

Depending on the album, a full-album concert series could be awesome. Aquemini would be excellent, but we'd have to hose ourselves down if they did a 15th anniversary Stankonia tour in 2015.
