Miley Cyrus is not keeping her fans in suspense, although her upcoming "Bangerz" tour isn't scheduled to begin until midway through February. The pop star announced the openers for the concert run on Tuesday, less than a week after announcing the dates themselves. Swedish duo Icona Pop and fellow indie pop performer Sky Ferreira will open.
Pop is best known for its hit single "I Love It," which peaked at no. 7 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 during the summer. The track was unable to get the duo's debut album, This Is...Icona Pop, to reach any higher than no. 36 on the Billboard 200, but the album received positive reviews. Ferreira has generated hype for a few years leading up to the recent release of her debut, Night Time, My Time. That record peaked at no. 45 on the Billboard 200, also receiving largely favorable reviews, most from alternative music publications.
Ferreira, not one to shy away from controversy herself (as the album for Night Time, My Time indicates), has hung out with Cyrus before.
