Mick Jagger is doing his best to ensure late girlfriend L'Wren Scott's memory will not be forgotten. The Rolling Stones frontman recently dedicated a fashion scholarship in Scott's name to Central Saint Martins Design College in London.

According to Billboard, the scholarship will be given to one masters student annually, through the 2017 school term, and will cover that pupil's entire tuition plus some living expenses.

Scott, who dated Jagger from 2001 until her suicide in 2014, did not attend the school but was close friends with the university's old M.A. course director Louise Wilson.

Jagger posted the following message after the announcement, via NME and the Independent:

I am still struggling to understand how my lover and best friend could end her life in this tragic way. We spent many wonderful years together and had made a great life for ourselves. She had great presence and her talent was much admired, not least by me. I have been touched by the tributes that people have paid to her, and also the personal messages of support that I have received. I will never forget her, Mick.

The school was obviously excited about the donation.

"I am very grateful to receive this extremely generous scholarship package. Our students sacrifice much to take up this course and work extremely hard while they are here," said current M.A. course director Fabio Piras. "I am very proud of the fact that this course ... continues to be recognized as a major contributor to the future of the global fashion industry."

CSM has been a London mainstay since its original founding as St. Martin's School of Art in 1854. Known primarily for fashion and design, it also has an impressive roster of musical alumni, including Jarvis Cocker, PJ Harvey and M.I.A., among others.
