It has been a really interesting week for the Kardashian and Jenner families, hasn't it? The general public now knows for sure that Bruce Jenner is not only going ahead with full gender reassignment surgery, but he is documenting it for a reality series of his own. That will begin airing in either May or June on E!. In the meantime, his family has reportedly known for a long while what he's in the process of doing and while they support him, they fear for the reaction once he fully transitions into a woman.

Kendall and Kylie Jenner are reportedly having the hardest time processing this and according to a report by Hollywood Life, they fear that people are going to "mock" their dad. What's ironic is that he has been relentlessly made fun of in the press for more than a year now. Perhaps the girls fear it will get worse when in fact it might actually get better. At some point the jokes will start to become offense to anyone that has gone through a similar transformation and perhaps the mockery will be replaced with a desire to try and understand.

Either way, Jenner has been under that microscope for many months and maybe he thinks that going on the record in a straightforward, honest way is the best plan of attack. It's clear that the reaction won't go away if he refuses to comment so maybe he needs to discuss the elephant that has been in the room. Do you think that Jenner is going to be made fun of even more now like his daughters are fearing, or will the truth somehow make things easier? Tell us your thoughts in the comments below!
