Today (Feb. 5), ahead of the release of her new album Piece by Piece, the original American Idol and pop megastar released a touching new music video for her new single "Heartbeat Song," featuring new couples falling in love.

"Heartbeat Song" begins with some uncharacteristic heartbreak. There are text message breakups, a literal "Dear John" letter, some adultery and dramatic post-breakup haircuts. But, that's before the heartbeats come in and love sparks again.
After a series of brooding and heartbreaking shots, with deleted photos, pizza and sleeping, "Heartbeat" song transitions into a series of meet-cutes. Dogs in the park, a Starbucks cup mix-up and newfound love with a friend at a party.
Love builds and we get first kisses through a series of touching dates, and the love has been turned up.
All the while, like an angel of newfound love, Kelly Clarkson is singing along to her new single, dressed in a flowing chiffon gown and surrounded by bright neon colors, reflecting the cover of her new album.

"Heartbeat Song" is the lead single from Clarkson's forthcoming sixth studio album Piece By Piece. Piece By Piece, which is her first studio effort since her 2011 album Stronger, is due for release on March 3.
