After sharing a snippet of the song with her infant daughter River Rose last week, Kelly Clarkson has officially premiered the lead single "Heartbeat Song" off her upcoming seventh studio album.

"This is my heartbeat song, and I'm gonna play it / Been so long I forgot how to turn it / Up up up up all night long / Up up all night long," she belts.

Her first non-holiday effort since 2010's Stronger, Clarkson is back in full force on "Heartbeat Song". She teamed up again with Greg Kurstin ("What Doesn't Kill You (Stronger)") for the booming, synth-tinged track, which will likely make waves on the charts this week.

Speaking recently of the upcoming album, Clarkson said on Twitter, "My next album is pop. But I am always influenced by music I love, which is pop-rock/country/R&B/dance."

Clarkson's fans were concerned after she made comments about the Nashville-made album having a country influence.

"There's all different kinds of genres on there," Clarkson said. "I'm obviously affected by the community I live in. So there's a little bit of everything."

The former American Idol winner described the album's tone as "uplifting."

"I've always been a person about empowerment and doing empowering songs," she said. "There are empowering songs on the record, and there's a lot of positive on there. It's a great record. It's not John Lennon's 'Imagine.' That was sarcasm. But we can aim."
