Ed Sheeran was the seventh performer tonight at the 57th Annual Grammy Awards. He took the stage with Herbie Hancock on keys, John Mayer on lead guitar and Questlove on drums backing him for a rendition of "Thinking Out Loud," which peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100. Next, ELO came out for a performance of "Evil Woman" before Sheeran rejoined them for their hit "Mr. Blue Sky."

Among Sheeran's nominations at the 2015 Grammy Awards are Best Pop Vocal Album for X, Best Song Written For Visual Media for "I See Fire," and Album of the Year for X.

Jeff Lynne of ELO, though not up for any awards, made headlines earlier this year when he was granted songwriting credits for Sam Smith's Grammy-nominated "Stay With Me," which was accused of ripping off Tom Petty's "Don't Back Down." September 2014 marked Lynne's return to the stage after 25 years when he performed at Hyde Park in London.

Sheeran is just one of many artists to perform at the ceremony tonight. Ariana Grande, Madonna, Gwen Stefani, Adam Levine, Katy Perry, Sia, Lady Gaga & Tony Bennett, Rihanna, Paul McCartney, Kanye West, AC/DC, Eric Church, Beck, Chris Martin, Sam Smith, Mary J. Blige, Beyoncé, Common, John Legend, Juanes, Pharrell Williams, Usher, Miranda Lambert, Tom Jones & Jessi J, Hozier, Annie Lennox, and more either have or will grace the stage over the course of the evening.
