Ooh la la! It seems as though Britney Spears and Miley Cyrus are a little to hot for TV... in France. According to TIME, the scandalously sexy pop stars have been shunned to nighttime hours in the land of cheese and berets.

Cyrus' naked, swinging "Wrecking Ball" video and Spears' dominatrix-inspired "Work B----" have been ordered to be aired only after 10 p.m. in France, according to France's Superior Counsel of Audiovisual (CSA), a watchdog group that regulates various entertainment medium in the country.

Reportedly, several channels were airing the popular clips without proper parental warnings.

The decision to bar "Wrecking Ball" and "Work B----" to the twilight hours, of course, follows the music videos' hyper-sexualized content.

In "Wrecking Ball," Cyrus writes around in rubble wearing a skimpy white bra and panties set. Eventually, the 21-year-old singer goes full-on naked in the clip as she swings on a wrecking ball.

However, thanks to the video's controversy and sexual content, "Wrecking Ball" became Cyrus' first No. 1 single on the Billboard Hot 100, a distinction it held for a total of three weeks.

Despite ordering her fans to party in France, Spears' "Work B----" got controversy in the country thanks to the video's skimpy outfits and BDSM-inspired dancing.

The CSA described the dangers of Spears' clip, stating it contained "a sadomachistic universe representing women in a way that risks shocking many viewers."

So much for France being overly liberal...
