If you're one of the biggest pop stars on the planet with the biggest Twitter following and a recent Super Bowl performance under your belt, well, you just may want to be careful about what you post on social media. That's a lesson that Katy Perry had to learn the hard way. Yesterday (April 1), the "Dark Horse" singer played an April Fools' Day prank on herself by accidentally releasing her phone number on Instagram.

In a post starring her puppy Butters, Perry played a riff on Rihanna's "B*tch Better Have My Money" by writing that "B*TCH BETTER HAVE MY MONEY IF B*TCH WANTS SAUSAGES!" underneath a video of her dog begging for some treats.

But, the video had one unnoticed detail: Perry's personal phone number on the dog tag.

Shortly after the Instagram post went online, fans flooded the singer with messages warning her about the information.

Perry, who boasts over 68 million followers on Twitter and 16 million on Instagram, has since deleted the Instagram video and disconnected the leaked phone number.

It's just like the say... you never can be too careful about what you post online!
