Oscar-winner for "Glory" and R&B singer John Legend is producing a romantic drama musical starring Grammy-winning singer Miguel.

According to Variety, Legend's Get Lifted Film Co. and Furst Films are producing the romantic drama in partnership with IM Global. The currently untitled musical will star singer Miguel.

Legend will produce the musical drama alongside Mike Jackson, his Get Lifted partner, and Furst Film principals Sea and Bryan Furst.

The producers of the film are reportedly in negotiations with Miguel to star in the film. He will play a former one-hit wonder "who regains his love for music when he is hired to coach an aspiring singer for her audition on a singing competition show," Variety reported.

Legend, an accomplished artist with multiple Grammys, may be putting on his producer hat for this forthcoming musical, but in an interview with ADrinkWith.com, the talented aritst opened up about his insecurities, despite his major success.

"For me there's insecurity when you're releasing an album because you spend all of this time working on that one thing and then once it's done, it's done," Legend explained. "After you put it out there to the public you never know which songs are going to work or even if the album is going to work as a whole, so there is a little bit of nervousness around predicting what the numbers will be and if it's going to be well-received, but once I'm on tour there are much less nerves. With Love in the Future I feel really comfortable with the songs and the music, especially now that it's been out for awhile. We had a huge hit with 'All of Me' and everywhere we went it was selling out immediately, so now it's just a celebration. Now I just want to go out there and have a good time!"

The musical drama is slated to begin production this September in the city of brotherly love, Philadelphia.
