With all the drama surrounding Justin Bieber these days (quite understandably), it's really easy to forget the 19-year-old made a totally solid R&B album last year with his Music Mondays compilation Journals. Less than a week after his DUI arrest, the Biebz released the third official music video from the set, "Confident," via VEVO.

As teased on Instagram, the music video features a lot of familiar tropes from Bieber videos. Fast cars, pretty girls, lots of choreographed group dancing and a search for love.

"Confident" finds Bieber at a seedy gas station, where a pretty young thing catches his eye. He follows her into the convenience store all while pointing and giving dreamy eyes to the camera (but, please, excuse that mustache in the close-ups).

There, the girl (who we find out is named Lynn) attempts to buy some Takis but not without getting hit on by Bieber, who's drawn to her... confidence! "Well, I'd like to Taki to you on the phone," he asks, though she refuses his number.

Perhaps he should've said they go together like Hot Cheetos and Takis...

Anyway, the rest of the video features tons of dance sequences, the two star-crossed lovers reunite, and in the end, the smooth guy gets the phone number.

It's a solid yet seedy music video for the ever-growing pop star. Let's just hope he can get his life in order so he has the chance to make more music.
