Fans looking forward to seeing Iggy Azalea during her The Great Escape tour will have to catch her at another time. She recently announced that the tour has been canceled in an email to fans.

Although a reason for the cancellation wasn't given, the email did assure that refunds would be sent out and that Azalea will be going on tour in 2016 to coincide with the release of her new music.

The tour was originally set to kick off in the spring but was pushed back to the fall. The announcement of the delay came in March.

Nick Jonas and Tinashe were scheduled to open the tour for Azalea, but they both pulled out when the tour was delayed. Tinashe subsequently decided to join the roster for the North American leg of Nicki Minaj's The Pinkprint tour, which kicks off in July. Nick Jonas recently announced that he'll be embarking on his own tour beginning in September.

Read the email that was sent to fans below.

"The Iggy Azalea Great Escape Tour scheduled for this fall has been cancelled and refunds are available at point of purchase. There will be a new tour planned around Iggy's new record to be released in 2016 and we apologize for any inconvenience."

While Iggy Azalea has remained relatively low key for the last few months, she's still managing to ruffle a few feathers.

Earlier this month, the controversial pop rapper took home the Billboard Music Award for Best Rap Song for her Charli XCX collaboration "Fancy," but over 20,000 people petitioned for her to give it back.

Dick Clark Productions, who produce the BBMAs, ultimately decided that Azalea would keep the award despite the fact that "Fancy" may have been ineligible for nomination.
