Move over, Superman! Eminem debuted his superhero acting skills in the video for his latest song, "Phenomenal" and he didn't miss a beat! The rapper dropped his movie-like music video yesterday, exclusively via Apple Music.

In an interview with Apple Music, Eminem vowed that the video would be different from what we're used to seeing him do. He said, "We're just trying to do something different. Put me in a different scenario, different set up, different scenery." And the finished product definitely lived up to that expectation. The video kicks off with Eminem waking up in a hospital. He fights his way out of it, delivering some pretty sick blows to anyone in his way. Once outside, he jacks a motorcycle, hijacks a car and then steals a helicopter, fighting off killers in Chinatown along the way. Dr. Dre shoots him a text saying "10 p.m. sharp" and after free-falling out the helicopter, our superhero manages to make it to his meeting with Dre on time — and then it's showtime. Eminem ends up in the one place where he doesn't have to run and nobody is trying to kill him — on the stage in front of a microphone. It seems like the video is one big cinematic metaphor for Slim Shady's life.

Eminem is making a major comeback. Yesterday he released the single, "Kings Never Die," featuring Gwen Stefani and followed up with this new mini-movie. Em also executive produced the soundtrack for the film Southpaw. The flick, which stars Jake Gyllenhaal playing a boxer looking to rise up to victory after a tragedy, hits theatres on July 24. The soundtrack includes features from Slaughterhouse, Bad Meets Evil, Action Bronson, PRhyme and more.

The full video for "Phenomenal" is available exclusively on Apple Music. Head over to watch it and let us know your thoughts. In the meantime watch the trailer for Southpaw below.
