For those who were curious why Trey Songz was featured heavily in Mariah Carey's Feb. 12 music video for "You're Mine (Eternal)," an explanation has been given: the track's official remix also received an official visual. Released officially on Friday (Feb. 14), the "You're Mine" version featuring Songz features, well, much more Songz.

In the original music video, Carey sings to a busy Songz from the rainforest, as the dreamboat is participating in a photo shoot and, eventually, an empty bed for sleepy times. The remix features the same basic storyline but focuses much more heavily on Songz's storyline and verses.

Though Carey and Songz never actually appear on camera together, the remixed video retains the long distance relationship feature of the original, playing up Songz's abs and Carey's fairytale swimming and golden glitter wings.

Instead of inexplicably including a man in the video, the remix successfully incorporates Songz, actually giving an improvement to the original.
