As he preps the release of his Children of the Rage album, OG Maco recently rolled out two new tracks ("Bless Me" and "Lord Have Mercy") from the project.

On both tracks, Maco offers up an introspective look at his rise to fame with the help of divine intervention. Ryan Ryu Alexy and D.K.A.D. provide production for the latter with Phresh Produce taking on "Bless Me."

Back in May, the newbie Atlanta rapper inked a deal with Motown/Capitol Records and announced his forthcoming album. The project is slated to be released toward the end of the year.

He first created a buzz for himself with his Internet hit "U Guessed It." Since then, he has worked with a range of artists and planned to tour with Migos.

More recently, OG Maco was featured among XXL's 2015 Freshman class. In his profile, Maco said that being included on the list solidifies his current place in the rap game.

"[The Freshman cover is] legendary," he said. "It lasts forever. No matter what, you come back, you come to this year, I'm here. And whatever's written, it's there. It never changes, no matter what. Even if I never become a $100 million artist — which I don't see how I wouldn't — but if by some weird chance I don't, at least I was this. I was the pinnacle of this level, right now. It's affirmation; I don't think it boosts [my confidence], and if it's confirming it you got so low self-esteem. So I think it affirms it."
