Taylor Swift certainly came off as a total badass assassin in the music video for her latest 1989 single "Bad Blood," and that's because she had tons of fight training. After leading today's (July 21) VMAs nominations with a staggering 11 nods, the major pop player thanked her loyal Swifties fans by taking them behind the scenes of the video shoot.

In an Instagram post, Swift thanked her fans for helping "Bad Blood" to get nominated by MTV for the much-coveted Video of the Year award. "Throwback to my first day of fight training for the Bad Blood music video. Thank you so much for the 9 nominations. You can vote for Video of the Year NOW!!!" she wrote.

(The other two VMA nominations come from the music video for "Blank Space," which got nods for Best Pop Video and Best Female Video.)

The throwback Tuesday (?) post featured Swift looking incredibly slim in workout gear as she choreographs fight scenes with a few male trainers. And, yeah, she comes across as pretty fierce.

"Bad Blood" is nominated for Video of the Year alongside Kendrick Lamar's "Alright," Ed Sheeran's "Thinking Out Loud," Beyoncé's "7/11" and Mark Ronson's "Uptown Funk" featuring Bruno Mars. The 2015 MTV VMAs will take place on Aug. 30, hosted by Miley Cyrus.
