Jimmy Fallon's popular The Tonight Show lip sync battle segment may have become its own sensational show, but there's nothing quite like the original. Last night (July 27), the talk show host and Mission: Impossible actor Tom Cruise took to the stage to faux-rock out to hits from The Weeknd, The Rolling Stones, Meatloaf, The Righteous Brothers and maybe even a little "Old Time Rock 'n' Roll."

At first, Cruise was a little taken aback by the absurdity of the segment, saying "This is ridiculous." But that didn't stop him from totally selling his favorite song of the summer, The Weeknd's "Can't Feel My Face." It took the 53-year-old actor a little while to get into the smooth Max Martin produced track, but when he did, he sold the raw sexuality of The Weeknd quite well.

From there, the lip sync battle continued, with Fallon taking it back with The Rolling Stones' "Undercover of the Night." For his second song, it seemed for a minute as though Cruise would take it all the way back to his Risky Business classic segment "Old Time Rock 'n' Roll..." he slid across the floor as those classic opening piano chords played.

But he's all about playing it fair, and as he admitted, pandering to the crowd in such a way simply would not be fair to poor Fallon. Instead, he opted for a dramatic rendition of Meatloaf's "Paradise by the Dashboard Light."

The battle concluded with a bit of a duet, as Fallon and Cruise both wandered in to the audience, serenading a lucky lady with The Righteous Brothers' "You've Lost That Loving Feeling."
