A major treasure from the Foo Fighters' vault has finally found its way in to the world. Yesterday (Aug. 4), the lost Foo album between 1999's There Is Nothing Left to Lose and 2002's One By One, frequently called the Million Dollar Demos was posted by an anonymous fan on Reddit.

For the uninitiated, Million Dollar Demos is the first version of Foo Fighters' album One By One. According to the Reddit post, after Foo Fighters' massive 2001 tour, the band reconvened to record its follow-up. After four months in the studios and over $1 million spent, the band became "hostile" toward each other, erupting into massive arguments between Dave Grohl and drummer Taylor Hawkins. In total, 11 songs were recorded during the Million Dollar Demos session and 10 of those were considered for the album, according to Consequence of Sound.

Over the years, some songs from these sessions have leaked online and others have been released officially on One By One or as B-sides. The Reddit post offered fans the remaining unheard seven tracks.

The unearthing of the Million Dollar Demos is a major win for Foo Fighters fans, some of whom have been searching for these recordings for over 13 years.

As for what these demos turned in to, after the band fights, the album was re-recorded over a period of two weeks. That was the final version of One By One, which was released in Oct. 2002. These demos show the recording process for what became one of the band's most successful albums. While songs like "Halo" or "Have It All" remain mostly the same, others such as "Lonely As You" are almost unrecognizable.

Foo Fighters themselves have yet to comment on the resurfaced demos.
