As promised, Chance the Rapper and Lil B have come together for a joint project, Free (Based Freestyles Mixtape). The six-track tape is free and, as expected, highly based.

In a recent interview with Tampa Bay radio host Bootleg Kev, Chance said his collab with the Based God would be a "full-fledged album." He also referred to the project as a "classic" and a "masterpiece." Well, it's not your typical album, and, as far as the latter claim goes, you can decide for yourself.

Apparently Chance and Based God created Free upon meeting each other for the first time. It certainly sounds like a the byproduct of a particularly zany recording session—"Conceived from magic, love, acid and bases," as Chance tells us. Indeed, each track sounds like a freestyle. Chance and Based God stumble at times, but due to each rapper's immediately magnetic personality, it remains exciting and authentic all the way through. Throughout the mixtape, you'll find rapping, singing and a few spoken word sermons from the Based God.

Listen to the historic mixtape below.

Chance and Lil B are now calling themselves the "Jordan Twinz."

Chance the Rapper hasn't released a solo project since 2013, but his band, The Social Experiment, put out Surf at the end of May. The 22-year-old rapper has also been spotted with Kanye West and will soon be a father for the first time.

Free (Based Freestyles) is the first Lil B release of 2015. Earlier this year, he joined the incarcerated Gucci Mane on "Rolling Stone."
