Zayn Malik has spoken out for the first time since calling off his two-year engagement to Perrie Edwards. Earlier this week, it was announced that the former One Direction member and his Little Mix fiancée had called it quits, and now Malik is back on Twitter with a message that may or may not be for his ex.

Malik posted a string of tweets yesterday, focusing mostly on his upcoming solo album with RCA Records but also with one message that seemed at least a little directed at Edwards.

After posting that ominous tweet, Malik went back on message, saying that he was excited to bring his fans new music. He promised that his forthcoming solo album will be "amazing."

As for Edwards, in a recent interview with E! News, she didn't want to talk much about her split, but she did say that she was "good, thank you," while understandably looking teary.

Edwards also seems to be getting massive support from her Little Mix bandmates. Earlier this week, Jesy Nelson called Edwards her "woman crush Wednesday" while posting a sexy bikini pic of her friend.

Phwoooaaarrrrr my WCW even though it's not Wednesday my Perrie winkle!!!!

Malik and Edwards became engaged in August 2013 after beginning dating in early 2012. The couple were engaged for two years and never seemed to set a wedding date.
