Sean "Diddy" Combs may not be the first figure in hip-hop you think of when it comes to gunfire, but the rapper was partially involved with two separate incidents this weekend where club events were brought to an early end due to gunfire. As of Monday morning, there was no indication whether either incident was actually connected to the entrepreneur, but you have to admit it's a pretty crappy coincidence.

The first incident occurred Saturday night when Diddy and his REVOLT network were hosting an event in Charlotte that coincided with the Central Collegiate Athletic Association basketball tournament. Performers Fabolous and Future were also involved with hosting the party. Two men were injured in the shooting, and police haven't released the names of the two victims yet. No arrests or suspects were named.

That would ruin our weekend. Diddy probably figured he could relax a bit when he headed to Atlanta to cohost a party with Rick Ross for the latter's release party for Mastermind. Unfortunately, Combs couldn't catch a break.

The party at Atlanta's Velvet Room club went into Monday morning before gunfire ended the celebration early. Law enforcement was called after shots were reported, and a police officer shot a suspect during the ensuing mess. No one was injured (outside of the alleged gunman), but police don't have a motive for the shooting.

Ross paints a more likely candidate to be the target of violence, versus the other performers (including Diddy) involved in the weekend's parties. Ross was the target of a drive-by shooting during 2013 and is involved with several hip-hop beefs.
