The road seems to have proven too much for Charli XCX and Bleachers, the side project of Fun.'s Jack Antonoff, as the two have jointly cancelled their "Charli and Jack Do America" tour. Charli, in a Facebook status on her band page, cited personal reasons, stating "I need to be creative."

Dear angels, friends and fans. I have some bad news. Regrettably I will not be continuing my spot on the “Charli and...

According to a nearly simultaneously released statement on Bleacher's band page on Facebook, Antonoff gave an "unfiltered" version of how the two of them came to this decision.

He starts off by saying he is still good friends with Charli and respects her decisions as an artist, although as his story continues it appears it was her decision to come off the tour and Antonoff was forced to scramble.

"i need you guys to have the truthful and unfiltered version of what happened because canceling shows is something i do not do unless I physically can't walk on to the stage,"Antonoff said in his statement. "i know how important these shows are to you guys - they mean everything to me."

hi guys! as you might have JUST found out – unfortunately the second leg of “jack and charli do america” has been...

However, Charli does indicate that she feels sad on tour and needs this break to feel "OK."

"As an artist I need to move quickly and write a lot to not feel restless," Charli wrote in her statement. "Sometimes touring really puts me in this isolated world where I feel down and sad but primarily I struggle to multitask and write songs at the same time which is what I need to do to feel OK. I never want to do a show where I just feel like I'm going through the motions. I want to perform and feel alive and like I want to be there and if I force myself to do this, I will not perform a great show for you."

Bleacher's tour will still continue on the dates not scheduled with Charli, but she will still play at Antonoff's Shadow Of The City Festival in New Jersey on September 19. See the full list of the tour dates that are still on and the ones that are cancelled below.
