Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert both are going to have new duets coming out in the next few months ... but not together, so this won't be a repeat of their time on CMT's "100 Greatest Duets" concert in 2005 (which is when Shelton told VH1 he fell in love. "Looking back on that [moment], I was falling in love with her right there onstage.")

For these duets, Shelton recorded a song with Shakira, a fellow judge on The Voice for her latest release and Lambert has teamed up with Carrie Underwood for a song on her upcoming album, Platinum.

While both artists have plenty of experience in the studio, they reported completely different experiences recording the duets. Shelton shared that he was "cool as a cucumber" while working with Shakira, while Lambert called herself a "bucket of nerves" over her time recording with Underwood.

Miranda talked about it with People Country, saying, "To me, this [was] such a big deal. It took me forever to write the email to ask her; like I was writing to someone I had a crush on and you don't want to mess it up."

It took a week for Underwood to answer the email which had Lambert worrying and telling to her husband that Carrie "probably hated the song" and was never going to speak to her again. When Underwood did reply, she called the song "awesome" and got on board.

The two powerhouse singers met in the studio to record the song and Miranda was still a nervous wreck. "When she came in the studio I was writing to Blake, 'I'm in over my head, I don't know what I've done!'," Miranda shared. "When you respect someone like that, you get so nervous." She got past her nerves and the two laid down "Somethin' Bad," which is actually somethin' really, really great.

For Shelton, teaming up with Shakira was a walk in the park. The country-pop tune they collaborated on is called "Medicine" and it will be on Shakira's new self-titled album, which will hit stores on March 25.
