Arcade Fire announced the release of an extended version of its latest album Refkletor with six new songs earlier this week, and just like that, the deluxe version has arrived. On Friday (Sept. 25), to coincide with its documentary The Reflektor Tapes, the Canadian arena rockers released the new tracks.

As Music Times previously reported, the six tracks arriving at the end of Reflektor have also been branded The Reflektor Tapes. The songs include previously released 7" tracks "Get Right" and "Crucified Again" as well as a two-and-a-half minute remix of Reflektor cut "Flashbulb Eyes" by Linton Kwesi Johnson.

The new, new songs feature the acoustic guitar driven, Joan of Arc name checking anthem "Apocrypha," the bouncy, tropical "Women of a Certain Age" and the lush track "Soft Power."

The extended version of Reflektor is officially out now via Merge Records, but is also available to stream in full on Spotify.

For those who don't want to commit to re-purchasing a full version of Reflektor, the six tracks will be released independently of the rest of the album on Friday, Oct. 16. The only catch is, it will be released on cassette tape to tie in to the name The Reflektor Tapes.

As for The Reflektor Tapes documentary, which was released on Wednesday (Sept. 23), reviews have been mixed. Variety called the film "a disorganized mishmash," while The AV Club gave it a C rating, noting that despite only scratching the surface of Arcade Fire's inspirational trip to Haiti, that the live concert footage makes for a gripping watch.
