Will Smith went on Beats 1 this morning to chat with Zane Lowe and had a lengthy discussion about new music, a world tour with DJ Jazzy Jeff next year and his life as a movie star and father to Willow and Jaden Smith.

Will Smith is one of the biggest movie stars in the world, but his legacy as a rapper is not forgotten with multiple platinum records and Grammy-award winning singles under his belt in the 1990s. He released a new verse on Bomba Esésteo's "Fiesta," which was the first time fans had heard some new music in over 10 years. It appears as though that won't be the last of it from Smith as he gets back into the studio.

Getting back in the studio and into the mindset of creating hasn't been easy for someone with his legacy and his stature in music.

"You lose the ability to lose, you lose the ability to create, says Smith. "Fear is the killer of creativity. You have to fail often, you have to fail early and you have to fail forward."

He is heading into the studio every day and he has a lot of "young artists and philosophers who are helping to extract the ideas" from his mind. He is looking for young artists to work with, but already has 30 songs, seven of which he really likes.

He makes a few big announcements at the end of his interview. He will be heading out on a full world tour with DJ Jazzy Jeff next summer.

He also hints that Bad Boys may make a return in the 12-16 months.
