Rising singer Alessia Cara has been making some waves in the music industry but kicked it up a notch on Tuesday (Oct. 13) with her cover of "Levels" by Nick Jonas at Sirius XM Radio. Thanks to her stunning take on the "Jealous" singer's new single, she got some major approval from Jonas himself and starmaker Taylor Swift.

The young singer is known for her R&B prowess, and that is exactly what she has done with this cover during her performance at Sirius. While Jonas's version is undeniably a banger, adding a woman's touch gave the track a unique twist, especially when she sings out, "There's levels to your love / There's levels to your love / And I know / We can get higher / There's levels to your love / And I keep on climbing up." Cara was only accompanied by soft drums and an acoustic guitar.

Shortly after the video aired, Alessia Cara tweeted, "I covered @nickjonas' levels on Sirius XM .. hope you like it." And Jonas replied with some love of his own.

This is not the first time that the soulful singer has gotten approval on an artist cover, as reigning country turned pop queen Taylor Swift also tweeted a compliment to Alessia Cara shortly after a clip of her cover of "Bad Blood" played on BBC Radio 1 according to MTV News.

Clearly, the budding songstress was a bit starstruck by the event and it remains to be seen what she will say back to Jonas's glowing compliment.
