Dating a member of One Direction may not be the best situation for a lot of girls, but that doesn't mean they can't be "Perfect." And the boy band's new single from its upcoming album Made in the A.M. proves it.

"If you like causing trouble up in hotel rooms / And if you like having secret little rendezvous / If you like to do the things that you know we shouldn't do / Then baby I'm perfect for you / And if you like midnight driving with the windows down / If you like going places we can't even pronounce / If you like doing things you're only dreaming about / Baby I'm perfect for you" the boys sing in the song's chorus, showing just what being a 1D girlfriend would be like.

Of course, there seems to be one particular ex-girlfriend of One Direction's that this song actually seems to be about, Taylor Swift. "Perfect" was co-written by Harry Styles, and the song makes a few little nods toward their relationship and things Swift mentioned on 1989, namely midnight drives (which she sang about in "Style") and writing songs about exes.

Lyrical content aside, "Perfect" seems to be a slight return to form for One Direction. While there are touches of those '80s influences that so permeated Midnight Memories and FOUR, there's a basic poppy-ness to this song that feels like some of the band's earliest material. And while "Perfect" lacks the sort of massive moments that a track like "Drag Me Down" has, it's a simple pop song that feels like it will add diversity to Made in the A.M.

"Perfect" is the second official single from One Direction's new album Made in the A.M. The record will be released on Nov. 13.
