Actor James Woods has taken to Twitter today to voice his disgust over Bernie Sanders' favorable comparison to the Chinese maternity leave program. Sanders argues that China, a country rarely touted for its human rights record or its social services, offers 14 weeks paid maternity leave in comparison with the United State's zero. Sanders failed to mention the disastrous outcomes of China's one child policy, the compensation that new mothers receive while on leave or the glaring human rights abuses of the country. According to CNN, In response, James Woods tweeted that Sanders was an "utter moron."

As InforWars reports, Sanders chose not to respond to Wood's scathing criticism and name-calling. According to the bio of his Twitter account, only tweets signed "-B" are directly from the presidential hopeful. All other tweets, including the one about China, are from his staff. James Woods continued on his Twitter rampage, tweeting, "Basically Bernie is this commie scarecrow put up to make Hillary look palatable by comparison, right? There is no other rationale possible." Woods is known for his controversial, often-critical tweets regarding Democratic politicians. He has frequently voiced criticisms of former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, and President Barack Obama.

Woods has also voiced his support for candidate Carly Fiorina. A former CEO of Hewlett-Packard, Fiorina was ousted from her position in the private sector and decided to try her hand at politics. After a disastrous run for the Senate seat of California, Fiorina decided she was better suited running for the highest elected office in the country. James tweeted, "I will be doing the narration for ‪@CarlyFiorina's campaign film. So proud to support this remarkable woman and her historic campaign." Woods has also expressed admiration for another conservative hero: Ronald Reagan. He tweeted on Monday, "Ronald Reagan was a great president AND campaigner because he UNIFIED his party. He let the Democrats fumble around and UNIFIED America,"
