Rapper 50 Cent's sports management company, SMS Promotions, has hit some rough times, theJASMINEBRAND reports. In May, the company filed for bankruptcy, leading many to criticize the 50's experience in the industry and his reputation as a businessman. This bankruptcy has lad to the dwindling career prospects of many of SMS's clients, including boxer Yuriorkis Gamboa. In order to settle their contract disputes, Gamboa and 50 will spar against each other in the ring. 50 has been in the news a lot lately, whether for his boisterous Instagram posts or his recent bankruptcy filings. However, the rapper/business mogul's spirits seem as high as ever, and he is willing to fight for his position as the titan of industry many once perceived him to be.

According to HipHopDX, Gamboa wants his contract with the company voided, as they have not fulfilled their promise of booking three fights a year. TheJASMINEBRAND says that SMS responded to Gamboa's allegations, arguing that they have scheduled four fights for him and that he refused another fight the company tried to facilitate. It is also reported that Gamboa has changed management teams and not been in contact SMS.

50 Cent decided to release a clip of the Gamboa's highlights set to his single, "New Day." The song features collaborations from heavyweights Alycia Keys and Dr. Dre. Dre spends his verse reminiscing about his influential career, and looking toward the future, touting his success as a businessman and musician. 50 claims "for me I got to be on top" which he repeats, solidifying the notion of success through struggle that has defined his career.

50 could learn a thing or two from Dre's verse, and the up's and down's of ones career in the Hip Hop and any other industry. It seems 50 is hoping for a "New Day" in which all of these financial troubles will be behind him.
