Although the iconic classic rock group has yet to put out a studio album since 2005's A Bigger Bang, The Rolling Stones decided to hit the touring circuit once more with a freshly announced, 12-date Latin American tour slated for next year, dubbed the America Latina Olé Tour.

Trailing their recent North American Zip Code Tour, the band will journey to South America for a string of gigs, launching in Chile on Feb. 3, 2016, running until Mexico City's March 14 date. On their southern hemisphere jaunt, the quartet consisting of Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Charlie Watts and Ronnie Wood will make stops for the first time ever in Uruguay, Colombia and Peru.

"We love playing Latin America and are excited about going to some cities for the first time," Mick Jagger said in a statement to UltimateClassicRock. "The audiences are among some of the best in the world - they bring incredible energy."

"We had a great time performing in stadiums last summer in the US and are excited to come to Latin America for the first time in 10 years. The fans are amazing," Keith Richards, who recently released solo album Crosseyed Heart, added.

The freshly announced gigs will bring fourth a new stage specifically crafted for the latin American fans and although Richards teased ideas to travel across the region, no new dates have been confirmed. "[We've] got South America lined up in February, Buenos Aires, Peru," he told the Associated Press in September. "And after that, I know what the Stones tours are like, they tend to get extended."

Tickets for America Latina Olé will be available to the public on Nov. 9.
