Nicki Minaj's absence from Instagram, Twitter, and the like have worried many fans who are wondering where their favorite female rapper is hiding. According to a source close to Minaj, "After constantly being on the road and always working sometime you need to take some time off to work on your personal life. It has been a while since she take (sic) some time off to spend with her family and she is also doing some recording. It's that time when she is thinking about her next album and what she want it to sound like." However, in response to Nicki Minaj's recent disappearance from social media, fans are beginning to speculate that she is trying to avoid criticism regarding her relationship with rapper Meek Mill.

Meek Mill is famously embroiled in a beef with Drake that has sucked a number of other artists and friends into its orbit. Minaj is clearly uncomfortable with the position she's in, with her label mate and close friend, Drake, pitted against her current boyfriend.
Speaking on this position, Minaj said, "I hate it. It doesn't make me feel good. You don't ever want to choose sides between people you love. It's ridiculous. I just want it to be over." This line of questioning prompted an inquiry over Minaj's penchant for drama, to which Minaj reacted with surprise and outrage. Minaj responded, calling the question disrespectful." She continued, "What do the four men you just named have to do with me thriving off drama? Why would you even say that? That's so peculiar. Four grown-ass men are having issues between themselves, and you're asking me do I thrive off drama?"
Clearly, this is a sensitive issue for Minaj. According to Inquistr, one fan argued, "Nicki please take notes, just know when you and Meek break up hes gonna be on twitter airing you out too boo." Minaj is adamant that Mill is a "grown ass man," and is responsible for his own words. However, it seems as if Minaj does not want any more attention regarding this issue for the near future.
