Over the weekend, Arcade Fire's Win Butler took the time during his Coachella set to "shout-out to all the bands still playing actual instruments at this festival,' therefore taking a jab at all the electronic artists who were also playing the festival. His sentiment is an over-argued accusation that electronic artists aren't actual musicians.

EDM big dog deadmau5 was bothered by the comment and responded via Twitter on Wednesday saying (presumably sarcastically), "sh*t to remember: A computer is a tool, not an instrument." Then he followed up with a series of tweets:

"arcade fire needs to settle down," he wrote. "some dudes devote their lives to instruments, others to electronic composition by cpu, dafuqs yer problem?

"i don't expect to see daft punk pull a steve vai on stage...i expect to listen to some decent music, n see cool robots. no problem.

"if I wanna watch real artists perform, id pick the opera before wasting a f**king minute of my life with arcade far. #doyouevenscorebro?

"but since some EDM is enjoyable to me, ill go watch them fake it, and enjoy it more than you hate the fact that they can't play guitar.

"inb4 some f**king hipster throws a hackeysack at me."

He finished his mini rant with a genuine shout-out to orchestral music (apparently his earlier line was no joke): "...but seriously, im just sayin...you should get out to the opera if you ever get a chance, the orchestra pit is a cesspool of pure skill."
