During his headlining set at 2008's Coachella, Prince gave audience members quite the surprise when he delivered a mesmerizing cover of Radiohead's popularized Pablo Honey track, "Creep." The fans who attended the festival have been the only ones to enjoy the performance, however, since Prince issued multiple take-down notices for any uploaded clips of the cover. Now, it seems the Purple Rain singer had a change of heart by retweeting a direct link to the "Creep" rendition.

The eight minute video showcases the legendary, 57-year-old singer grooving to the Radiohead alternative hit, while putting his own mark on the track. The roaring and loud cheering audience made it known the surprise cover was an instant hit, becoming a rarity among Prince fans for years after.

When questioned about Prince and his strange behavior concerning the clips, Radiohead frontman Thom Yorke found himself perplexed that the "I Wanna Be Your Lover" singer claimed copyright issues for a song his band wrote, hoping the soul singer would change his mind.

"Really? He's blocked it? Well, tell him to unblock it. It's our ... song," Yorke, who recently performed at the 2015 Paris Climate Change Conference's Pathway to Paris, told Billboard at the time. Better late than never, Prince finally took the Subterrannea singer's advice and took a shocking step by helping his fans watch the footage for the first time in seven years with a simple retweet.

The clip's uploader takes a shot at Yorke by mocking his copyright concerns in the video's description and title, writing, "Copyright reserved to RADIOHEAD, the original authors of this song, who have granted me permission to upload this video through the above remarks. Needless to say, no copyright infringement intended."

The HITNRUN singer doesn't allow any of his music to be uploaded to YouTube and in 2015, he pulled his material from Spotify and joined Jay Z's streaming service, Tidal.
