All the talk surrounding college basketball nowadays is whether players should be required to spend more than one year in school, or if they should be required to attend school at all considering they already have the talents required to make millions. The music industry doesn't require a degree to be a star, but Kasseem "Swizz Beatz" Dean has seen fit to return to school. The all-star producer was recently accepted into Harvard Business School's Owner/President Management Extension Program.

"This might be one of the happiest days of my life. From BX to Harvard," he posted online, referencing his upbringing in the south Bronx.

He won't be getting the full college experience, as the Management Extension Program only lasts nine weeks. However, he will be staying in student housing at the university (wife Alicia Keys and son Egypt will visit on the weekends, according to Showbiz 411). For the price Dean is paying for his lessons, he better be getting some quality housing/meals: He'll receive three credit hours at a price of more than $33,000 per credit hour. This is comparing apples to oranges, but we finished more than 200 hours at Ohio State for around a third of that.

It might seem like a scheme for Harvard to rip-off already wealthy individuals, but the program's shown some impressive results in the music industry already: Antonio "L.A." Reid has gone through the program.

So next time you're cruising around with your mom and "Jigga My N---a" by Jay Z comes on, and she complains about how ignorant and stupid hip-hop music is, inform her that the producer attended Harvard.
