Limp Bizkit singer Fred Durst has reportedly been banned from entering the Ukraine for the next five years, due to the country's claim that he is a threat to national security.

Back in October, Russia urged Western celebrities to move to Crimea in an effort to boost its development and economy, with Ukrainian prime minister Sergey Aksyonov describing his plan for the Eastern European state as "the new Beverly Hills."

Of course, out of all people, Durst replied via letter according to Billboard, stating that he would like to live there for a period of six months while he attempted to build a reality TV series and help build the "great future of Russia and Crimea." He would also like to obtain a Russian passport at some point.

If you're wondering where his Russian pride comes from, the singer's wife Kseniya Beryazina, a makeup artist, is of Ukrainian descent and is also reportedly in the process of teaching Durst the language.

Since the Ukraine has never agreed with Russia's claim of annexation, they appear to not have been too fond of Durst's pro-Russian commentary. According to Interfax (a news agency), the security sector of the Ukrainian government imposed a five-year ban on the singer entering the country "in the interests of guaranteeing the security of our state."

Limp Bizkit achieved stardom with their 1999 sophomore album, Significant Other, you know, back when CD's were popular (you probably still have the CD). On the album appeared the ever-popular track "Nookie," which you can check out the official music video for below. The band spent a good chunk of 2015 touring throughout Russia, but don't expect them in the Ukraine any time soon.
