J. Cole has been quietly building himself a small kingdom with his Dreamville label and brand. Signing artists like Cozz and Bas, Cole using his stature in the music industry to put on other artists besides himself. Now Cozz is following his 2014 mixtape Cozz & Effect with a new project titled Nothing Personal.
Cozz handles almost all of the bars on this 13-track project, but he does get features from Boogie, Corey C, FreeAckrite and fellow Dreamville signee Bas. Longtime collaborator Meez handles most of roe production, but there is co-production throughout Nothing Personal by D-2, Mike Almighty and T.Lew.
J. Cole's Dreamville is gearing up for a big year after dropping the second edition of his Revenge of the Dreamers compilation series and then this Nothing Personal mixtape. Cozz provides some thoughtful and powerful bars on this project that should be a great stepping stone to a bigger 2016.
