Since her boyfriend of two years and Glee costar, Cory Monteith, died in 2013, Lea Michele had a long road to finding love again, linking up with current boyfriend, Matthew Paetz, a year after Monteith's death. The two met on the set of her "On My Way" music video. But there are still waves nearly three years after his death for the Scream Queens star. During an appearance on the Fempire podcast this past Tuesday (Jan. 5), Michele talked her dating life post-Monteith and the social media backlash she sometimes receives for moving on.

"I love my fans," she said on the Fempire podcast. "They're incredible and they were really a part of my whole story and my whole journey with me, so I do come from a place of understanding, but it's also really hard. You know, every time I post a picture, then it's just a landslide of comments that talk about my past and bring that up rather than projecting positivity."

She continued on air with, "And even though, you know, I don't think anyone is really projecting hate - it is positive, it's nothing so, so terrible - but at the end of the day, we have to remember that what we put out there, it manifests and it creates energy and you should want to be the person that chooses to take that second to do something positive."

It was somewhat of a scandal when Michele and Paetz first got together, as her new boyfriend was reported to be a former gigolo. Gossip site TMZ reported that Paetz was a one-time employee of Cowboys4Angels, which is a male "companionship" website. He was reportedly known as "Christian" while he was a member of Cowboys4Angels, and the gossip mill asserted that he had taken a client to the Stagecoach music festival around the time that the two began dating, although it was unclear what for. His alleged profile on Cowboys4Angels has been hidden from the site for some time.
