Justin Bieber has one more person to apologize to - Adele. But, he may be less "Sorry" and more "sorry not sorry," because after eight weeks at No. 2, the Biebs' latest Purpose single has finally overtaken the "Hello" juggernaut on the Hot 100.

Bieber was finally able to overcome Adele as both artists' hit singles saw huge point losses on the charts this week, mainly due to post-Christmas sale slumps. Bieber's main strength in knocking Adele from her No. 1 post was streaming, where he led all others with 26.5 million plays this week. "Sorry" also had no need to apologize for its strength on radio, where it was the second-most heard song with 145 million audience impressions, and in sales. "Sorry" sold 128,000 downloads last week.

As Bieber takes over the top spot (his second No. 1 on the Hot 100), "Hello" slips down to No. 2 after 10 weeks of rule. "Hello" still reigns supreme on radio with 169 million audience impressions and sold better than Bieber with 139,000 copies. But, she lost in streaming with 16.3 million plays.

Bieber's close play for No. 1 (and narrowly beating Adele) isn't his only win on the charts this week. His non-single "Love Yourself" holds at No. 3 for a third week while leading sales with 164,000 copies sold, and his lead Purpose single "What Do You Mean?" drops out of the top five but sticks in the top 10 this week at No. 8.

What song could bump Bieber down three spots? Twenty One Pilots' quickly rising single "Stressed Out," which launched up four spots this week from No. 9 to No. 5. A major factor in the rise of Twenty One Pilots' "Stressed Out" is streams, where the song saw a 10 percent increase to total 7.9 million plays.

Drake's "Hotline Bling" rounds out the top five at No. 4.

Outside of the top five (and Bieber), no new songs rose to the top 10 this week. Selena Gomez's "Same Old Love" rose one spot back to its No. 6 peak, but the vault of "Stressed Out" displaced Shawn Mendes' "Stitches" and Alessia Cara's "Here," which fell to Nos. 7 and 9, respectively.

And, as is standard at this point, Meghan Trainor's "Like I'm Gonna Lose You" brings it up the rear with a fifth week at No. 10.
