You probably saw this coming, especially since he supported Mitt Romney in the previous Presidential race, but Kid Rock is officially standing behind real-estate mogul and reality TV celebrity Donald Trump during his 2016 campaign to reach the White House. Speaking with Rolling Stone magazine, the Detroit rock-rapper and southern rock 'n' roll cover artist (am I being too harsh?) didn't surprise anyone by revealing he's "digging" Trump and speculating that he'll receive the GOP nomination.

When asked by the publication about the current Republican race for the GOP nomination, Rock's excitement about his favorite candidate was very apparent.
"I'm digging Trump. I feel like a lot of people, whether you're a Democrat or a Republican, feel like if you get Hillary [Clinton] or Bernie [Sanders], or you get [Marco] Rubio or [Ted] Cruz or whoever, there's going to be the same sh*t," the musician explained, according to UPROXX. "Has that much f*cking changed when anyone's in office, whether it's been a Republican or a Democrat in office, in our lifetime, anyway? I haven't really seen this big, like, f*cking change. Obviously some people f*cked up. [Laughs] That's a long debate. My feeling: let the mother*cking business guy run it like a f*cking business. And his campaign has been entertaining as sh*t."
To be fair, he's right about how entertaining Trump's campaign has been. If that's what you're looking for in a President, than you've found your candidate.
Rock certainly knows the entertainment business. He's reinvented his musical style from a pioneer of the rock-rap genre to a country influenced songwriter and now some kind of strange mashup artist with covers of Lynyrd Skynyrd with different lyrics.
So of course he's supporting Trump in this very serious, but absurd Presidential race!
