UK grime MC and new star Stormzy has announced a short string of shows in North America this month. While grime is still much more popular in the UK and Europe, it is starting to bubble up in North America and elsewhere in the world.
The tour starts with a few dates at SXSW in Austin and then hits Toronto and Brooklyn on the 19th and 20th. The following week, he wraps up the tour on the 23rd and 24th in Los Angeles and San Francisco respectively before returning to Europe.

Stormzy never holds back with crazy ideas and music. He launched a campaign around Christmas time to put his "Shut Up" freestyle in the charts ahead of the X Factor winner Louisa Johnson's cover of Bob Dylan "Forever Young." He eventually succeeded but not after going and playing video games and smoking weed with fans as a reward for those who supported him.
