At the end of May, Nicki Minaj released lyric videos for the lead single "Pills N Potions" off her upcoming third studio album, The Pink Print. Now she has unveiled the official video.
Minaj keeps it simple with bubbling minimalist visuals, natural hair, and muted-color outfit changes. However, she adds some weird elements such as a PEZ dispenser, bunnies, and some nice product placement for Beats Pill XL speakers and Minaj's fragrance, Minajesty. The Game also guests on the video, addind some romantic interplay.
About the upcoming release, Minaj told MTV in April:
"I went so far to the other side that there's only one place to go from there. You can either continue doing costumes or you can just say, 'Hey guess what? This will shock them even more. Doing nothing will shock them even more'...The tracks on Pink Print are back to my hip-hop roots. And I don't think it's something that I'm necessarily trying to do. As soon as I started working on my new album, that's just the songs that I've been writing."
The Pink Print follows up 2012's Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded and is due out sometime this year. Minaj previously released the tracks "Looking Ass" and "Yasss Bish" off the album.
