Kelly Clarkson and her husband Brandon Blackstock welcomed their new baby River Rose earlier this month. Now, Clarkson has introduced her daughter via a photo on Twitter.
"Here is our beautiful baby girl River Rose; 6lbs 6oz, 18 inches, and the greatest thing on the planet," the 32-year-old gushed.
The snapshot, taken by Koby Brown of Archetype Studio Inc., shows River Rose sleeping peacefully in a red carriage with rose detail, a nod to her name as US Magazine points out. She is wrapped up in white lace blankets and is wearing a white headband with a small yellow flower.
Clarkson gave birth to River Rose on June 12. She tweeted the birth announcement on June 14 saying, "Our baby girl River Rose Blackstock arrived on June 12. Thank you everyone for all of your well wishes! Brandon and I are on cloud 9!!"
In a November interview with Parade, Clarkson shared her thoughts on motherhood after having just announced her pregnancy.
"I'm gonna rock at being a mom!" she said. "I'm almost looking at it like making a record, like, 'I'm going to nail this!'"
This is the first child for the couple, who were married last October. Talent manager Blackstock has two children from a previous marriage, daughter Savannah, 11, and son Seth, 7.
