Fans are disappointed after the Whitney Houston Estate cancelled the supposed duet of the late diva's hologram with Christina Aguilera for the finale of The Voice Season 10 later this month.

Footage of the performance leaked wherein Houston and Aguilera sang “I Have Nothing” and “I’m Every Woman.” But hours after the clip surfaced on Facebook, the sister-in-law of Whitney, Pat Houston announced that they will not allow the performance to air.

To recall, Pat and tech company Hologram USA planned to make a hologram of the late singer which will go on tour, Us Magazine reported.

Apparently, fans are excited about that and were even more excited after learning that prior to the concert tour, they will get to see the hologram on The Voice finale. But it appears that it's not going to happen anymore.

"We are so appreciative of the opportunity for the Whitney Houston hologram to appear on NBC’s The Voice with a talent pairing as extraordinary as Christina Aguilera and Whitney Houston. We were looking to deliver a ground breaking duet performance for the fans of both artists," the statement said, according to ET Online.

"Holograms are new technology that takes time to perfect, and we believe with artists of this iconic caliber, it must be perfect. Whitney’s legacy and her devoted fans deserve perfection. After closely viewing the performance, we decided the hologram was not ready to air. We have much respect and appreciation for Christina, and she was absolutely flawless," the statement continued.

Since the performance was axed, the hologram of Houston is said to headline its own show this year and might by launched at "a major U.S. venue and tour the world" featuring some of Houston's biggest hits.

Aguilera previously talked about the upcoming performance but did not reveal any details. Meanwhile, The Voice coach recently impressed her fans with her impressions of Houston, Adele, Beyoncé and a lot more during her appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres show.
