Drake has followed Justin Bieber’s lead, amongst other celebrities, and cancelled the VIP packages for his Summer Sixteen Tour with Future. The tour is slated to begin on July 20 in Austin, Texas.

A source within the music industry reported to People that the VIP packages have been cancelled because of “scheduling issues” and those who purchased them will be refunded.

Canceling more intimate meet and greets with fans has been a trend this year, and Justin Bieber was the first to start it, saying that connecting with his Beliebers in that way “drained” him as well as making him “unhappy.”

The purchase was called “6 God Meet and Greet” and fans missed out on a lot with the cancellation of the VIP packages, which were for sale along with tour tickets on Ticketmaster. For the $1,000 package a fan would have received a single ticket in the first five rows of the concert, a photo with Drake (professionally taken), a single 6 God candle, a single 6 God incense holder, a single 6 God disposable camera, a single 6 God frame, a single 6 God foam hand, a set of tour pins, a set of tour patches, a tour car freshener, a tour pen and more swag.

The VIP package for Future, who is opening for Drake on tour, was nothing to sneeze at either, as it ran for $500. The Future package included a single ticket in the first 15 rows of the concert, early entry into the venue, a meet and greet with Future, a tour t-shirt, a custom hat, custom socks, a bandana, a Freebandz pin set, a Freebandz patch, a Freebandz double cup, as well as an exclusive merchandise item and a laminated copy of the meet and greet photo.

It has not yet been reported whether or not Future’s VIP packages have been cancelled.
