A Los Angeles County judge has issued a warrant for Tyga's arrest after the rapper failed to appear at a scheduled court hearing for a lawsuit filed against him by his former landlord. Since the lawsuit was about the rapper's finances, the plaintiff also raised an issue regarding Tyga's very expensive gift to Kylie Jenner.

The bench warrant was issued by the judge on Tuesday in response to Tyga bailing on his court appearance to explain his current finances. According to the Los Angeles Times, the rapper was supposed to answer questions regarding his assets because he has to pay over $480,000 to his former landlord.

As noted by the news site, the landlord sued him due to his unpaid rent and the damages to the property that Tyga previously leased in Malibu. The rapper has already moved out of the property and is currently living in a new home near Kanye West and Kim Kardashian's Bel-Air mansion, ET Online reported.

"He leased a house that he wanted to use as his primary residence, then he completely trashed it," Boris Treyzon, the landlord's attorney said according to the Los Angeles Times. "We got the judgement entered, and now it's collection time."

In connection to the nature of the lawsuit, Treyzon told the judge during the court hearing on Tuesday about Tyga's gift to Jenner for her upcoming 19th birthday. As reported by Us Magazine, Treyzon's client was not happy that the rapper surprised her with black Maybach Mercedes that's worth around $200,000 even though Tyga owed him almost $500,000.

Tyga has not yet released a statement to explain why he decided not to show up in court but according to TMZ's sources, he was at the Turks Islands celebrating with Jenner at the time of the hearing.
