On Sunday night, Nicki Minaj accepted her fifth consecutive award for Best Female Hip-Hop artists at the BET Awards. During her speech, she threw some subliminal shade at who people assumed was Iggy Azalea. "When Nicki Minaj spit it, Nicki Minaj wrote it," she said, presumably referring to rumors that Azalea uses a ghostwriter to pen her verses.

Yesterday Nicki Minaj clarified the comments, saying she had congratulated Azalea publicly and feels there is room for more than one female rapper. Now Iggy Azalea has issued her response to the situation, claiming there is no beef between the two femcees.

She posted a note on Instagram, accusing the media of forcing a feud between the two rappers.

"I have to say the general explosion of pettiness online in the last few days is hard to ignore & honestly...lame," she wrote. "If I had won the BET award that would've been great but it wasn't my year & I don't mind - so you shouldn't either. Generally speaking I'm unbothered by anything that 'happened' at the BET awards and just feel worn out by everyone trying to make me have wars with people all the time. Anyone who wishes me well is welcome in my life & those who don't can't get any more of my time. I hate to see everyone exhausting themselves on my behalf over things that I'm still not 100% sure even exist & don't matter. just let it go."

She added in the caption, "This is my mind state about everything & the only time I'm ever going to refer to this again so go nuts guys, Enjoy it. Ps. If you squint exxxtra hard you can see tiny elves having illuminati meetings between the lines in my notes app too."

So looks like we can all back off now.
