Marilyn Manson has expressed his support for Johnny Depp after the actor and his ex-wife Amber Heard were able to reach a settlement in their divorce case. According to the "Beautiful People" singer, it was unfair how the Pirates of the Caribbean star was portrayed during the course of the legal battle between Depp and Heard.

Marilyn Manson, whose real name is Brian Hugh Warner, revealed to The Daily Beast that he and Depp go way back. Aside from being the godfather of Lily-Rose Melody Depp, the daughter of the actor and the French actress Vanessa Paradis, Warner was also present when Depp's son Jack was born in 2002.

As noted by Manson, Depp's is a very kind person and he would stand by him despite how he was depicted in the divorce case.

"Johnny is one of the nicest people that I know - to the extent where it's almost heartbreaking how kind he is to his friends, and everyone around him," he told The Daily Beast. "I know he was completely crucified - unjustly."

"I would stand by him on anything," he added. "As my friend, I know that he's handling it the best he can and he's a great dad, too."

According to Warner, if he was asked to in court for the divorce case, he would refute the abuse allegations made by Heard against his friend.

"I think that all of it was bullsh*t, and I think that he is a great person," he said. "I wouldn't agree with any of it if someone were to put me on the stand and ask me what I know, or what I've witnessed."

As reported by TMZ, Johnny and Heard's divorce case officially ended last month after the two were able to reach a settlement agreement. As part of the deal, the Edward Scissorhands actor agreed to pay his ex-wife $7 million.
